Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn 32bit and 64bit ISO

              This Ubuntu edition is distributed as hybrid Live DVD ISO images for multiple hardware platforms, including 64-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit Mac, and multiple languages that can be selected by the user during the initial boot. Being hybrid ISO images means that they can be deployed to either USB flash drives or DVD discs. 

                From the boot prompt, users can try Ubuntu without installing anything on their computers, run a memory diagnostic test, start an existing operating system that is installed on the first disk drive, check the boot medium for defects (only if using a DVD media), and directly install the distribution without testing it (not recommended).A desktop environment for the 21st century, same great collection of apps

                As mentioned, Unity is in charge of the graphical session in this edition of Ubuntu, offering a state-of-the-art desktop environment that is comprised of a top panel for interacting with running programs and the functions implemented in the system tray area, as well as an app launcher on the left side of the screen. Default application include the LibreOffice office suite, Mozilla Thunderbird email and news client, Mozilla Firefox web browser, Cheese webcam viewer,Deja Dup backup utility, Empathy instant messenger, Rhythmbox music player, Shotwell image editor and organizer, Transmission BitTorrent client, Gedit text editor, and many other GNOME apps.

Bottom line

             At the moment, the Utopic Unicorn edition of the Ubuntu Linux operating system is pretty much identical with the previous release, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr). We will modify the review with updated information when the final release will be available for download. Please be aware that this is a development release, not suited for production environments.
